Why Chauken march?

The Chauken were a Germanic people who settled in the area Oldenburg and Friesland between 0 AD and until the 4th century AD.

This year, we are now offering the Oldenburg Two Days March with 25km, 40km and 55km routes for the second time.

Due to various requests if the maximum distance of 2x 55km on two days can not be completed in one piece of 110km without a break, we have decided to launch a 110km version. Since we wanted to have a name differentiation to the normal Oldenburg Two days march, we have chosen for the Chauken as namesake.

So be part of our new Challenge:
YOU.

110 km.

27,5 hours.

On foot.

You will start on 29.06.2019 at 9:00 am in Oldenburg for the 2nd Chauken March. Your start will be when the participants finish the normal distances, so look forward to a hot start.

Afterwards, you will hike the route that your short distance muck riders have completed during the day. About half way through the first section, we will set up a feeding station for you, which is also the first post-launch control station for us to have your control card stamped.

The march ends for you on 30.06.2019 after 27,5 hours at 12:30 pm. Until then you have to be at the finish in order to be able to receive the Nord-March Order with revaluation as a 110km graduate of us.

Of course, if you have to get off the track before, you will of course receive a certificate with your completed distance.
Be part of our new challenge.
